medical marijuana for the treatment of morbid obesity?
Morbid obesity is one of the qualifying conditions in California. I’m puzzled by this because, as we know, marijuana increases appetite. Can anyone shed some light on this?

It has been found that for morbidly obese people, THC works to stabilize there intake of food. Ingesting hemp oil has even more of an effect then smoking THC. You should watch the documentary, Fighting for a cure, with Rick Simpson. It will help you shed some light on this issue.

Unfortunately we live in a diet fixated society. Diets are not the answer to morbid obesity. But then surgery is a truly radical solution and should always be the last resort. Before I give you what I believe is the fastest, least intrusive solution. One that actually works and has no innate risks to your health. Let me point out that till just forty years ago, there was no obesity epidemic. The vast majority of people were slim and healthy. They suffered neither morbid obesity or type2 diabetes. Both these diseases can be fatal and both have been flagged as future epidemics. What will probably shock you more is that forty years ago, morbid obesity and type2 diabetes had never been heard of.
I don’t know what that indicates to you, but to me it means that something important, even radical, changed around forty years ago. That something was our Natural Diet which till then was favored by most people. But then we had a phoney scare campaign about cholesterol. Some untrained, unqualified people had created a diet they called The Pyramid Diet. We were assured that this was a tested and proven diet that would cure cholesterol.
It was a lie on both counts. No research, no human trials or any kind of legitimate scientific tests were ever conducted. The people who created the Pyramid diet, were not qualified to make the assertions they did. The pyramid diet was simply an exact reversal of our traditional, natural diet. That was the extent of the research. Despite this, millions of people were driven and coerced to adopt this diet. When people began to diet, they also began to get weight problems. Weight problems have led to an obesity epidemic. Now, after a 40 year deluge of untested, untried diets. We witness looming, life threatening epidemics of both morbid obesity and type2 diabetes.
It would be easy to say that we should all simply revert back to our natural diet. But real life is never that simple. You see, today, not only do we have an obesity epidemic, we have evidence that 60% of the population are addicted to carbohydrates. Morbidly obese people are almost certainly addicted to carbohydrates. So my non-surgical, none evasive solution to tackle morbid obesity is to first and foremost Cure The Addiction. There have been numerous examples to show that when carbohydrate addiction disappears, so does weight problems and obesity. So I say to you, what have you got to lose?

Linda asks…
What kinds of non-surgical treatments are available to treat Morbid Obesity?
I’m a 24 year old college student who has not had health insurance since 2002. I currently go to Curves and I HAVE been watching my diet for the past six months, but so far haven’t lost more than 15 pounds…
I do fall under the category of morbid obesity… extremely so. And surgery is just not an option. What other kinds of treatments are available for morbidly obese people? I’m pretty much willing to do just about anything diet-wise. My biggest problem is the exercise. When I first started going to curves, I loved it because it didn’t put stress on my joints… but you’re only supposed to go 4 times a week for a half an hour… and there’s little to no cardio involved. You can burn a maximum of 800 calories in that half an hour… but 800 calories every other day just isn’t doing it.
I need a program where I can burn more calories than I’m taking in… withOUT hurting my joints… 300 pounds and a jump rope is usually a bad combination… as is jogging.
Just a side note: Keep rude comments to yourself. Questions like this always tend to pull the fat-haters out of the woodwork and quite frankly, I don’t want to hear about it. I’m looking for honest, informed answers that will help me lose weight and get healthy. I don’t expect a bikini body… I just want to be able to walk down the street without getting rude comments and food thrown at me out of car windows. Something that happens almost daily… Just one of the reasons why I don’t like walking outside.

Okay I’m a great believer in exercise, but not for someone who is morbidly obese:
I strongly urge to read the answer to the questions above. It is a solution that I think is tailor-made for you. Why? You are a smart young woman who is not afraid to take action. You deserve genuine advice that will produce an equally genuine result. Not some diet that will eventually worsen your weight problem. You see, human beings are not designed to diet. All our body knows when we cut down on our food, is that we are in a famine. Your body has a built-in program just for that. It slows down your metabolism and prepares to store body fat. As soon as the famine is over your body has no choice but to restore every ounce of fat you have lost. That’s to protect you against the next famine. Each time it will add a little extra fat.
You need to know that you do not fail your diets. The diets – all diets fail you. That’s because diets don’t work. We are not designed for diets. You can’t fight nature and expect to win. Morbid obesity doesn’t have to be a sentence. But you need to understand your body and to work with it instead of against it. This is a non-threatening solution. What have you got to lose? Cure your addiction and not only will you lose the weight, your food cravings will disappear.

Half-Ton Mom & Morbid Obesity; I don’t understand?
I’m currently watching a show on TLC called Half-Ton Mom and I was thinking to myself: How is it that these people allow themselves to get so big? This woman is nearly 900 pounds! You would think that by around 300lbs., one would realize that they need treatment for compulsive eating. I’m not trying to sound mean, but it angers me that people would do this to themselves. Is this a form of self-harm or a hidden desire to die??? I just don’t understand. I feel bad. ![]()

We are talking about an addiction. How many people die from alcohol tobacco and drug addiction? Do you honestly think they don’t know where they are headed, and wish they could stop their compulsions? Why would carbohydrate addiction be any different. These people are not hard to understand, they are simply victims of misinformation, bad government directions, corporate greed and food experts who cannot even tell us exactly how the body works. Surely a pre-requisite for the right to tell anyone what to eat!
This is not some rooted emotional problem as the experts would like us to think. This is economic realities overriding the interests of regular folks. Put the blame where it belongs: Bad governments, cereal, diet and snack food manufacturers and a minion of unqualified people who presume the right to call themselves ‘diet experts’ and claim a god-given right to tell other people what is healthy food to eat. Their victims deserve nothing less than the truth!

I don’t recommend any diet pills, nor do I recommend diets. The solution to obesity is much closer to home. It resides within your own body. You need to read the answers above. There you’ll find the right solution. You don’t just want to lose the weight – nobody does. What we all seek is a permanent solution to out weight problems. That cannot be found in a diet or a pill. if you have already read the answers above then go to the link below where you’ll find my website. There’s a second, even longer free video with a lot more information.
