As long as you are not a carbohydrate addict, a low carb food diet is good. It will help you lose weight.
On a low carb food diet, calories do not matter.
Also be sure you add some fat to your diet. If you are a carbohydrate addict, no diet can work till you first cure your addiction. You can learn about that in
The Carbohydrate Addicts Manual!
To truly benefit from low carb food you need to understand a little bit about foods and about your body. All the carbohydrates foods you eat; The good, the bad etc, will all go through the same process once it gets inside your body.
It is all turned into glucose. Glucose is another word for sugar. It’s the stuff our body uses to fuel our energy. So our body doesn’t care about what type of carbohydrates foods you eat. It only cares that it is natural, unprocessed carbs food that it understands and can process efficiently. There is no such thing as a low carb food or a high carbs food.
The only way to categorize carbs is to separate the two actual types of carbohydrates foods. First we have the carbs food made by nature. This is the good carbs food that nature created. This is carbs food that the human body has learned to process.
It is the carbs food that grows above the ground. Our body has known those carbohydrates foods for centuries. Then around forty years ago we changed our traditional diet, which was based mostly on healthy protein food along with that good natural carbs food.
We completely changed our foods to a new high carb diet that contained very little healthy protein food. Our body pays dearly for that change to this day.
Foods like tuna and turkey, in fact all meat, poultry, fish seafood and eggs are healthy proteins. They will never contain carbs food unless for example: You stuff your turkey. They are pure, healthy protein food and unlike carbohydrates foods, we cannot exist without them.
The 2nd type of carbs food is what is best described as bad fake foods. Mother Nature had nothing to do with those foods. They come out of a processing plant or a factory. They contain chemicals to give them shelf life and when eaten regularly, turn us into carbohydrate addicts. They are dangerous to our health. Worst of all, if we are addicted, we eventually turn our kids into addicts as well.
So in answer to your question, there is no such thing as a list for low carb food.
Not a legitimate list anyway. A low carb food diet can only mean a high protein low carb diet. A low carb food diet by itself, would mean eating only up to 20% of what you normally eat and that would be disasterous.
What you need to do is eat unlimited healthy protein from those I described above. Your low carb food should be less than 20% of your daily intake of food. It should come only from the kind of carbs food that is naturally grown.

Mark asks…
will having a high protein low carb diet help me lose weight?
if it does help me lose weight, how does it work? i read online before (can’t remember where) that the proteins cannot be digested with carbohydrates? or something like that? correct me!
can someone provide a list of HIGH proteins food and low carbs food?
thanks!

I know there are people trying to suggest that proteins food cannot be digested with carbs food. That is not only wrong, it is dangerous advise. 90% of what we are told today about proteins food is utter nonsense. This is the food that grows and mends our skin, bones muscles, tissue and vital organs. Without proteins food there would be no people to talk about it.
Everybody talks about the benefits of carbs food. That’s because carbs food can be manufactured and proteins food cannot. In short – There is no money in proteins food for the manufacturing industry. For centuries, proteins food were our dominant diet. There have been periods in human history, including an ice age, where proteins food was all human beings could get.
We cannot survive without proteins food. But history proves we get along quite well without carbs food.
Millions have been invested in a false premise that carbs food gives us energy. We fill up our cars with fuel to make them go. If we leave them in the garage the fuel will simply go stale. We fill our body up with fuel. It comes from the carbs food we eat. Our body turns it into glucose, which is another word for sugar.
When we don’t use our energy with activity, we won’t spend any fuel. Our body cannot store fuel, so when we rest it turns it into body fat. Carbs food doesn’t give us energy. It just supplies the fuel. Carbs food turn us into carbohydrate addicts, and it makes us fat.

Carol asks…
what is some Low Carb food for my low carb diet?
I’ve been on a low carb food diet for about 3 weeks. and so far its been extraordinary, ive lost 9 1/2 pounds, and im going to keep going. but for the past week this is my diet. vitamin pill when i wake up, a over-easy egg, and 2 slices of bacon for breakfast, peanuts between meals, protein shake for lunch, with a banana, peanuts again, and usually a steak or chicken breast grilled. but i cant keep up this same diet forever, it gets kind of boring. i dont care about big fancy meals, i just like basic foods that i can cook on a pan, or throw in the oven. and just need some more ideas for low carb high protein foods. a list would do jus fine
thanks

If your aim is to lose weight, you can lose more body fat eating proteins food & fat, than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast, eat all you want, but nothing but meat, fish, seafood, poultry, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter & half an avocado a day (for added potassium). Keep the calories high & the fat percentage high. Green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.
The first 2 weeks eat several cups a day of (mostly) lettuce & celery, cucumbers, radishes, mushrooms, peppers & more variety of vegetables thereafter – add 5 grams per day additional every week (20 grams day first 2 weeks, 25grams 3rd week, 30grams 4th week etc) til you gain weight, then subtract 10grams. That will be your personal carb level (everyone is different & depends on how active you are.)
Start with meat, fats & salads for 2 weeks and then slowly add in more green veg, wk4 fresh cheeses, wk5 nuts & seeds, wk6 berries, wk7 legumes, wk8 other fruits, wk9 starchy veg, wk10 whole grains. You will learn how your body reacts to different foods.
The first week you lose only water weight but fat is lost thereafter if you keep your calories high enough. Otherwise the body will strip it’s own lean tissue for nutrition. Although that may look great on the scales it will make it MUCH easier to accumulate fat in the future (since all that pesky lean tissue that burns up calories will be gone). The body won’t release fat stores if you lower calories below what it needs. It will slow the metabolism to compensate & store every spare ounce as fat. If you continue lowering calories, it will continue lowering the set point, til it can survive off nothing & store fat on anything. The body will only release it’s fat stores if it knows there is plenty of nutritious food.
Eating carbs food while trying to lose body fat is terribly inefficient. When in glycolysis (when you bur glucose as fuel) you have to lower your calories (which slows your metabolism) & exercise heavily to deplete your glycogen stores before burning body fat.
Simple carbs food is addictive & can be disastrous to health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs till all cravings and hunger pains are gone. Make a huge batch of deviled eggs, eat one every time you want “something” – have huge omelets with bacon, sausage, peppers, mushrooms & cheese. Pork chops smothered with peppers, mushrooms & cheese – pork rinds & dip or tuna/chicken/turkey/egg salad – steaks – a huge sugar free cheese cake. Eat so much you won’t feel deprived of anything. Within a week the addiction symptoms will be gone & you can start making healthy choices.High insulin levels promote inflammation, weight gain, hunger & unbalance other hormones. Controlling insulin levels will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so lean muscle will be gained even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase muscle mass with high HGH levels.
Ground flax seed (2 Tbsp) 1/4 cup water, artificial sweetener, mix in a raw egg – let sit 10 min. To absorb liquid, put some cream cheese in the middle & nuke 2 minutes. Suggested for daily fiber needs.
As long as you have <9grams carbs per hour, you will maintain insulin control & shouldn’t gain weight, no matter the calories because insulin, the fat storage hormone is not activated. Most people gain weight on a high carb diet. When they switch to a low carb food diet to lose weight, they are shocked to find that when they return to a high carb diet they gain the weight back again. Many people can return to moderate carbs food levels but very few can really eat all they want of sugar & still maintain weight or health.
