That is a complete fallacy.  All carbohydrates foods can be dangerous if you are a carbohydrate addict.

Even if you are not a carbohydrate addict, you soon will be if you begin to eat a high carb diet.

There is no legitimate scenario where a high carb diet will reduce the risk of heart disease.  In fact, the contrary is the case.  Carbohydrates foods promote obesity and obesity is a primary factor in heart disease, colon cancer and type2 diabetes.  I’m not just going to tell you that, I’m going to explain why.

When you eat carbohydrates foods – doesn’t matter if it’s a bowl of pasta, a piece of cake or a stick of celery, your personal food processor,-  your digestive system, treats all carbohydrates the same. Your body does not recognize one carb from another.  All carbohydrates foods are converted to glucose. Glucose is the fuel you draw on when you use energy.  If you don’t use much energy, you won’t burn much fuel.

If you eat a high carb diet you are likely to be left with a lot of unspent glucose.  Our body cannot store glucose for later. It has no choice but to store it as body fat now.

To a carbohydrate addict, as energy goes down, the appetite for carbs goes up.

Weight increases will compound. You begin to store ever more fat cells on your body. The fatter you get, the quicker you’ll become obese. And the more likely you are to get diseases like heart disease.

Linda Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts!

Linda asks…

What is a sensible amount of carbs to consume on a low to moderate carbohydrate diet ?….?

I don’t agree with the drastically low carb diets such as Atkins, I do like to include low gi fruits and non-starchy vegetables.. I want to lose weight sensibly so it will stay off ! I only need to lose 10 pounds. I am very active so need to be realistic here !
I am talking about grams of carbohydrate NOT calories !

You are right about calories – they are as irrelevant to weight loss as a tape measure.  The key to answering you question is to first know whether or not you are a carbohydrate addict.  That will tell us where your body is at.  Do you suffer cravings for sweets or any other carbs?  After dieting, do you still end up overweight?  Do you have sudden binges?
If the answers are yes,  then you are almost certainly a carbohydrate addict. That means you will never lose the weight for long till you cure your addiction.  If you want a simple guide on how to do that just click on the link below.

Your body converts all carbs to glucose. It will draw on that fuel when it needs energy.  If you don’t have much energy, you won’t spend much fuel.   The carbohydrates you don’t use will be stored as body fat.  That’s because your body is not able to store carbohydrates. Not even after they are turned into glucose.  For the sake of your health,  I suggest you add some oily fish, like salmon to your food choices. That will give you the iron and protein your body needs.  Above all, stop dieting.

If you do not suffer cravings and you have never been on a diet, then you are probably not a carbohydrate addict.  In that case,  here is what to do to get the quickest most successful result.  Don’t count calories and don’t diet.  Eat as much as you like, but make sure you don’t exceed 10grams of natural, unprocessed carbohydrates foods a day.  When the weight has gone, gradually re-introduce carbohydrates foods to no more than 20 grams a day.

Don’t rush it. Take your time,  allow your body to find the right comfort zone. continue to avoid processed carbohydrates foods.  If it is wrapped or packaged – It’s fake food – don’t eat it!

If you want to remain slim, and not become a carbohydrate addict, just follow those guidelines.

James asks…

What is the best food to eat if your a vegetarian & are on a low carb food diet?

admin answers:

Tufo (soy), avocados, berries and all greens.  It is very important for your long term health to include some protein.  Proteins are the building blocks of life.  They mend our bones, repair our organs and grow our muscles and tissue.  All carbohydrates can do is provide the fuel when you need to use some energy.  Being a vegetarian,  suggests you eat natural carbohydrates.  A low carb diet requires you to eat less vegetarian/carbohydrates foods and more protein.  If you can eat fish – eat lots of oily fish, seafood and  of course eggs. Eggs are high in protein

Mandy asks…

What is the fastest way to lose weight without starving your self or using a dumb carbohydrate diet?

admin answers:

I’m not sure I know what you mean by a dumb carbohydrate diet.  If you are talking about not cutting down on carbohydrates foods then there’s not much you can do.  You will continue to get fatter, you’ll become obese and sadly, that will shorten your life.  Obesity leads to colon cancer, heart disease and type2 diabetes.  These are dangerous diseases.  Once you have any on of them you are likely to be in serious trouble.

I don’t know your age, but you need to have a serious talk to yourself.  What is more important – Your life or your food?   If you are a carbohydrate addict, and I strongly suspect you are, think of your children. Present or future.  If you are addicted – they will be too.  What kind of legacy is that to pass on?

If you have already put this in the too-hard basket, at least do this for yourself:

Drink plenty of water to keep your stomach full
Eat small meals at least five times a day

Avoid all processed, packaged foods.  (They are all fake carbohydrates foods)
Stay away from alcohol
Walk instead of drive — use stairs instead of elevator

I believe telling someone they need ‘a healthy diet’ is a cop out for not knowing the right answer to what IS a healthy diet.  Not knowing is understandable since conflicting information is everywhere.   I’m going to make that answer really easy and simple.  Mother Nature gave us a metabolism, a digestive system and the foods we needed to care for and grow our body.  For generations, we used what can best be described as a Traditional Diet.

Around forty years ago some people thought it would be a great idea to modernize that diet. So they reversed it.  They made it the exact opposite to the foods our body was used to. Till then, type 2 diabetes did not exist and obesity usually happened to sick people.  Why people went along with that change is a whole other story,

western union ukraine zhovti vodyclass=”dtm-content”>The result of that momentous shock to our body can be seen everywhere.  Six our of ten people are overweight.  We have an official obesity epidemic.  Type2 diabetes is close to epidemic proportions.  Colon cancer and heart disease in on the rise.   Does any of that sound like the hand of Mother Nature?

“How do people feel about a low carb food diet with type 2 diabetes“.  Very good I’m sure. The lower the better. As long as the carbohydrates foods we choose are not processed, or packaged.

To learn more about how your body works and what it does with the food you eat.  If you want to get slim and healthy for good, just the way mother Nature intended.  If you wonder if you are a carbohydrate addict, then use the link below:
