Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [high protein foods]

David Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [high protein foods]

David asks…

What are some high protein foods and how do they differ from low carbs food?

And like how many grams are there per item/serving/cup/etc ?

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [high protein foods]

admin answers:

You might well expect high protein foods to be the same as low carb foods.

But the fact is,  there are no highs and lows involved for either food.  There is just a diet industry trying to keep the subject muddied and complicated whenever possible.  A natural food is either a proteins food or a carbs food.   All proteins food is good for you! Why?  Because proteins food has been the main part of the human diet from the beginning.   Our body has evolved to process it efficiently.  Carbs food was a late addition.  It remained a small part of our normal diet till around forty years ago.

That’s when our traditional protein diet was reversed and became a carbs food diet instead.  This laid the foundation for the obesity epidemic we see today.   What made us do something so foolish?  It was a fake scare campaign about cholesterol and diet.  We were led to believe that only a change of diet could cure the cholesterol crisis that had just been noticed.  What better, more comprehensive change to our diet than a complete reversal?

So millions of people changed from eating mostly proteins food to eating mostly carbs food.  This new diet even got a name, ‘The Pyramid Diet’.  What was the crisis that caused the change?  There wasn’t one.  Just a botch up with cholesterol test results.  Unfortunately it took thirty years for that botch up to be corrected.  Long enough to cause a mass food addiction that has produced an obesity epidemic.  This now threatens a type2 diabetes epidemic.  Already we can boast a greater percentage of people with heart disease, bowel and colon cancer than we had thirty years ago.

Yet, this human made disaster continues to roll on.  We still follow ‘experts’ with no knowledge about what our body does with the food we eat.   Our kids still get fed school lunches made up of dangerous, addictive carbs food.   The ‘diet experts’ and gurus, are still drumming up business for their low carbs food diets.   If your friend has an alcohol addiction, do you advice they reduce their drinking?  Or do you advice them to give it up?

What you need is to focus your diet on proteins food. That means meat, poultry, fish, seafood, eggs and in addition, a small amount of carbs foo0d like avocado, nuts, berries green leaves and vegetables.  Avoid all processed foods.  If the food comes from a factory or processing plant it is not food your body has evolved to process.

To learn more about this manipulated scare campaign.  How it began and who started it.  You’ll find the details at the link below.

Steven Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [high protein foods]

Steven asks…

should I stay away from high calorie foods or high carbohydrates foods if i’m to go on a diet?

what are some of the other carbs food to stay away from except junk food like chocolate and oils?

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [high protein foods]

admin answers:

You have a mistaken concept about the right food for your body.   Calories are irrelevant if you eat the food your body understands.  There is no high or low carbs food.  What some people refer to as low carbs food are the carbs that the human body has learned to process for generations.   As to oils. All oils are fats and they are an essential part of a healthy diet.   What you need to avoid are the foods that create bodyfat.   Bodyfat is the fat that sticks to your ribs, clogs your arteries and settles around your vital organs.  That type of fat can only be made by your own body and it can only be made from carbohydrates.   In other words, excess carbs food = excess fat.

What is excess carbs food?  Your body turns all carbs food into glucose.  Glucose is liquid sugar and it is the the fuel your body burns when you use your energy.  If you don’t have much energy you won’t burn much fuel.  Since our body can’t store glucose it is forced to turn it into bodyfat.

Susan Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [high protein foods]

Susan asks…

why do some athletes eat high-carbohydrates foods the day before a competition?

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [high protein foods]

admin answers:

They have been led to believe that only carbs food can give them energy.  In fact, the only thing any carbs food can do is to provide you with fuel to burn when you need to spend energy.  It is proteins food that builds and mends our bones, muscles, tissue organs and skin.   If you are short of energy, proteins food can even convert to glucose if necessary.  In other words, our athletes should follow the example of ancient athletes like the Greeks, and stick to lots of meat, fish and seafood.

Charles asks…

Where can I find on line a complete list of non-carbohydrates foods?

I enjoy a balanced diet of both carbohydrates and noncarborhydrates. I’m just looking for a more complete list now of noncarbohydrates foods.

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [high protein foods]

admin answers:

The expression: non-carbohydrate food is ridicules.  If the food is non- eg without carbohydrates, then it must be something else.  It is frightening to realize that the word Protein, has become so dangerous to the diet industry that they have finally succeeded in making the word superfluous. So here is my answer.  If you want something other than carbs food,  (and that would be a good thing) , then eat some proteins food.  That means meat, poultry, eggs, fish, seafood and make that the main part of your meal.  That’s what your grandparents did as a matter of course.

Hope this helps!

Once Upon A Time, Before Food Addiction!

I have just posted a new article about food addiction on Ezine Articles.

This is an article you simply must not miss.  At least not if you have a food addiction.

In The past, before food addiction became an issue, people learned what food to eat from their grandma and from the responses of their own internal system.

In other words; they had and felt a connection to their own body.  It would be wrong to assume that this was a long time ago, when most people went hungry and nobody had a chance to get a food addiction.  You see, it is only around forty years ago, when the Pyramid diet was invented and obesity statistics began to climb.  Till then the vast majority of people were slim people.

A time when nobody went hungry and nobody got food addiction.

Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children4]

Jenny Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children4]

Jenny asks…

what are the major causes of obesity in children and what are the effects of obesity?

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children4]

admin answers:

The cause of obesity in children is food.  The wrong kind of food.  Yes, I’m aware that you very likely follow the advice of one or more self-elected diet and food experts.   But you need to understand that these ‘experts” may know a lot about food, but they know little or nothing about the human body.  The right food is not about  food that looks good or makes us intuitively believe it’s healthy.  These feelings are not natural.  They are instilled by constant, persuasive advertising.

Cereal is not a health food and it cannot be made from Protein.  Green food is not necessarily good food.  The only expert on what is good for us to eat is our own body.   Today most of us eat a diet that is the exact opposite to the foods we evolved with, that always kept us slim and healthy.  This held true till around forty years ago when we were tricked into reversing our traditional high protein diet.

The effects of obesity in children is potential morbid obesity and type2 diabetes, both these can be fatal.  What also follows is heart disease, bowel and colon cancer.  There are numerous other, less serious condition to take into account.  This is the future faced by our children today.  How do we know that?  According to statistics, 60% of the population is already on the way to obesity.  Obesity statistics also predict, this trend will grow to 80% by 2020.   There is only one way to stop it.  We need to stop listening to self proclaimed experts and start listening to our own body.

We are not designed to be fat.  Nature did not anticipate that human beings would one day deprive themselves of food on a regular basis – on purpose!  At any hint of hunger, our body responds to famine.  It slows us down and gets ready to store bodyfat.  The moment the famine/diet is over our body does not rest till it has restored all the lost weight, plus a little extra for protection against the next famine.  In the present culture of  obsessive dieting. With constant introductions of new diets, obesity in children will continue to grow.   Too much money is riding on the ‘diet culture’.  The only way to stop it, is one family at a time.  Treat your own family and by example others might follow.   How…?  Just follow the link below for a free video with more facts about the effects of obesity.

John Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children4]

John asks…

Do you think the leading cause of obesity in children is women at work?

OK..this may sound sexist, but isn’t it true? Less women cook and now kids just eat mostly fast food. There’s no one there to keep them from eating a whole box of doughnuts. Umm…if I offended you…too bad. I’m looking for truth here.

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children4]

admin answers:

Whoever is in charge of the food our children eat, is responsible for obesity in children, at least for their own children.  Schools are one of the worst offenders.

Joseph Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children4]

Joseph asks…

is the lack of family structure one of the major causes of obesity in children?

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children4]

admin answers:

I don’t know about family structure, but poor parenting contributes to the problem.  Obesity in children can only be prevented by Parents.  Parents need to educate themselves about the right food to give their children  They cannot, and must not  rely on current ‘expert’ advice’.   To understand what I mean by that, please read the above Q and A.

David Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children4]

David asks…

What do you think is the leading cause of obesity in children in today’s world?

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children4]

admin answers:

Same as adults. The wrong food and too little everyday exercise!

Mark Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children4]

Mark asks…

Are fast food chains soley to blame for obesity in children? Or do parents play a role?

I’m doing my english paper on obesity in children and I’m using Fast Food Nation as my main evidence. However, I also need to show the opposing side of how fast food chains are NOT responsible for obesity in children, and how other factors, such as parental involvement, should be taken into consideration. I have to show how while there is the arguement that fast food obesity is the main cause of obesity in children, there is also an opposite argument.

I can’t really find any sources that argue that fast food chains are not the ONLY factor for obesity in children  help please? this paper counts as my final average.

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children4]

admin answers:

There are only two active influences on the problem of obesity in children.  1. Parents and 2. schools.  Parents because they control what, when and where children eat.  And schools because they provide school lunches that are both dangerous and unhealthy.  Fast food chains advertise their wares in a way that’s designed to entice children.  But they cannot be held responsible for obesity in children because they have no control over what children are permitted to eat.

Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [junk food]

Thomas Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [junk food]

Thomas asks…

Why do people blame junk food companies for the obesity statistics?

I’ve noticed that whenever the topic of the obesity statistics comes up, many people respond that junk food  restaurants are to blame. I’m just curious as to why.

Whatever happened to individual responsibility? The Junk Food Restaurants offer you something. You can either choose to accept, or keep on going, and choose something else.

They don’t make people fat…people make themselves fat (not including of course, the people with medical conditions).

And btw, I’m not putting anyone down. I used to eat junk food  all the time…til my doctor told me I was at serious risk for a heart attack. But no-one put a gun to my head and made me eat there. It was my own doing.

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [junk food]

admin answers:

A demand for something is not a stamp of approval or goodness.  In the case of junk food  it’s merely a reflection of our busy, don’t wanna cook lifestyle and an unfortunate addiction to anything carbohydrates.  We shouldn’t just worry about the junk food in restaurants.   The far more dangerous junk food lurks in the pantry of virtually every home in the country.  An addiction works as a kind of gun to the head.  We are coerced and pressured to eat the wrong food!

Joseph asks…

Is the junk  food industry responsible for obesity in children?

Is the junk food industry responsible for the childhood obesity in children?  State your opinion and provide at least three supporting statements.

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [junk food]

admin answers:

Obesity in children is caused for the same reason obesity statistics continue to climb.  We are eating the wrong food and we have forgotten what our body does with the food we eat.  Addiction causes us to eat too much wrong food and most us don’t even know anymore what is the right food.  Our kids don’t get enough proteins food for healthy growth and development and their inevitable destiny is to end up obese, just as their parents have.   Yet we continue to listen to untrained, unqualified people who tell us what foods are healthy to eat.  The people who tell us what to eat are the same people who profit  from the foods they recommend.

This is a vicious cycle only adult, responsible people can break. And they must do so if they don’t want to see their children and grandchildren end up as obesity statistics.  It is estimated that obesity statistics will reach as high as 80% by 2020.

If you are one of the people who don’t care about your weight, who don’t mind being fat and think it’s all too hard!   Well think again.  Obesity leads to heart disease, colon and bowel cancer.  Morbid obesity and Type2 diabetes is often the result of not taking action.  These are fatal diseases.  Really! Are you prepared to take your children and grandchildren on a journey down that road?   Think about it! Their life may depend on it.  Your diet becomes their diet and when they leave home they take that diet with them and pass it to your grandchildren.  So who is responsible for obesity in children?  We are.  Everyone of us who let ourselves get manipulated and led down a path of misinformation and other people’s self interests.  It is on YOUR head to stop obesity statistics in YOUR  family.  If you dont know how – educate yourself.  You can start by watching the videos below.

Ruth Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [junk food]

Ruth asks…

I need a thesis statement against obesity statistics and about how junk food companies are not at fault for causing epidemic!

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [junk food]

admin answers:

Junk food companies are no more innocent of the climbing obesity statistics, than you – or anyone else who neglects to learn the facts about the cause of today’s obesity epidemic. Like well trained parrots, we repeat the pseudo scientific nonsense we call a balanced diet.  We let ourselves be handled by cereal, snack food and other industries who tell us what’s healthy to eat.  Their promoters, called nutritionist, are treated as if they actually know what they are talking about.  The biggest epidemic we have is the epidemic of false information and if we don’t stop it, make no mistake, it can kill us.  If you want to prevent obesity in children – at least in your own family. Put your scepticism into gear. Put your common sense on cruise control and get the facts.

George Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [junk food]

George asks…

Can we tell the difference between junk food and fast food?

I am a Unitarian, and the food of my religion appears to be junk food because the spiritual qualities are also religious. Even if they are nutritious, is it a good idea to ration them, or eat them in small quantities, because of their halluciogenic properties? I know that junk food is unhealthy, and I do not eat such foods, but a Big Mac can be mistaken for a garage burger of sorts. Please help me draw the line such as, “One makes you fat, the other makes you high. One has cholesterol, the other has LSD” and so on. Given the obesity statistics, I do not wish for an underground movement to replace all junk food chains if junk food  is outlawed, especially to ensure the health of our fellow citizens. Please help, for I am also a professional chef, and I pray to Gaia for someone with a heart to answer with the best of his abiilities. May we be blessed with the bounties of Gaia as long as we live.

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [junk food]

admin answers:

I have never had a  halluciogenic experience from any food.  Nor am I religious.  I imagine you have no quarrel with nature.  Your body was created with a metabolism and digestive system.  As we evolved, so did our diet.  Our traditional diet, right up till forty years ago was a high protein diet.  It consisted of unlimited meat, poultry, fish, seafood, eggs and a few other bits and pieces such as seasonal vegetables and local fruit and berries when available.  If you want to get close to nature, that’s the kind of food you eat.

Mark Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [junk food]

Mark asks…

Do you think the decision by LA officials to band new junk-food restaurants violates the peoples’ rights?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080730/ap_on_re_us/fast_food_ban;_ylt=AveC7vNZp.W7RlmUeJR2gb8azJV4

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [junk food]

admin answers:

You should be able to eat what you will, but it would be great if you targeted the food that’s good for you. Targeting junk-food  restaurants as the archenemy to the public’s health is unfair.  You’ll find as much, if not more junk food in the pantry at home.  Are they gonna ban that too?   If people truly want to fight the obesity statisticsthey need to educate themselves.  That includes the officials who presume to have invented the most obvious of solutions.  They too don’t know!

I’ll just say this: political decisions such as these are NEVER made in the interest of the people. I don’t know for certain what is behind this campaign, perhaps they want to clear the way for trendy, expensive “health conscious” restaurants to come in and raise the property value.  If their concerns are truly about health, perhaps they could sponsor a campaign to remove the unhealthy food from our schools. Wouldn’t you think?

Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children]3

Helen Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children]3

Helen asks…

What do you think about this idea to combat obesity in children?

Do you agree that children in middle school and high school should be required to participate in one after-school sport each year. It may not be enough, but it’s much, much better than nothing.

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children]3

admin answers:

Good idea, now who will pay for it. No one will consider having their house tax go up even to pay for teachers already there.

How about putting gym class 5 days a week back in the schedule? And make a different teacher who is already getting paid do it each day. That way you save money and improve our children’s fitness.

Mary Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children]3

Mary asks…

Do you think we should all do something about obesity in children?

Obesity in children seems to increase every day.  Should our schools be responsible for educating all children about obesity statistics and better and healthier eating?

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children]3

admin answers:

I think both parents and schools should be held responsible for obesity in children.   They have a responsibility to seek out the truth.  The most important thing is that they work with the same information and that it is the right information.   Many parents are increasingly frustrated by the dogmatic insistence by schools to supply a high carbs diet to their children.  Something that is strongly discredited by most experts today.  Seems the government is more concerned to placate wheat growers, cereal and snack food producers, than they are about the problem of obesity in children.  There is no doubt that we need to combat obesity in children today, before it is passed on to yet another generation of innocent children.

Sharon Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children]3

Sharon asks…

I need help with writing a paper on American obesity in children!

I am writing a paper in my critical thinking class on obesity in children of America between 2 decades 1965-1975 and 1995-2005 I need help with the research and finding stats. help me please!!!!!!

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children]3

admin answers:

The documentary “Food Inc.” had some great stats and critical thoughts on the effects of food, in the U.S. I believe the movie Fast Food Nation had some interesting perspectives too but I haven’t watched that one in awhile. I would highly recommend “Food Inc.” it will be very helpful in any research regarding obesity in children.

Lisa Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children]3

Lisa asks…

In America, obesity kills over 100,000 people each year. Is obesity in children a form of food abuse?

The above figure is four times higher than deaths due to illicit drug use. Obesity in children is a serious problem.  Preventing food abuse is the key to stopping it.

Obesity destroys lives.
Obesity KILLS.

Talk to your children about food abuse.

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children]3

admin answers:

I completely agree with you.  It is a sad fact that the real story about today’s obesity epidemic is so little known and so widely ignored.  People fail to understand that the real danger is not fast food.  The real danger lurks in the food our children are served at school and the packaged food they find in the pantry when the get home.  Obesity in Children  is not only the lack of knowledge when it comes to what is real healthy food to our body.  It’s the fact that the myths, lies and misinformation  is already being passed on to the next generation.   Government is not going to help.  They are more concerned with the interests of wheat growers, cereal and snack food manufacturers.  We have a responsibility to educate ourselves about how our body works.  What it does with the food we eat and what makes obesity statistics climb today when they didn’t exist forty years ago.

This is the knowledge we need to prevent obesity in children.  It is how we stop it from being passed on to future generations.  We owe it to ourselves and to the children today!

Carol Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children]3

Carol asks…

Obesity in children of America today?

What do you think of obesity in children and how it affects America today?

kirsten1 cropped Your Questions About Carbohydrate Addicts [obesity in children]3

admin answers:

Climbing obesity statistics in general and the problem of obesity in children in particular,  is proabaly the greatest medical catastrophy in America for the past forty years.   As indeed it is in all western countries around the world. It affects far more people than aides.

I am not an advocate of simple solutions. But in this case, this entire disaster was caused by simple stupidity, by people who were keen to find a niche on the fringe of medicine so they could make a name for themselves.   it’s time for them to be unmasked and for their theories to be exposed for what they are.  Silly and dangerous to the rest of us.  They would have been exposed long ago if not for a hungry, greedy cereal and snack food industry.
