You might well expect high protein foods to be the same as low carb foods.
But the fact is, there are no highs and lows involved for either food. There is just a diet industry trying to keep the subject muddied and complicated whenever possible. A natural food is either a proteins food or a carbs food. All proteins food is good for you! Why? Because proteins food has been the main part of the human diet from the beginning. Our body has evolved to process it efficiently. Carbs food was a late addition. It remained a small part of our normal diet till around forty years ago.
That’s when our traditional protein diet was reversed and became a carbs food diet instead. This laid the foundation for the obesity epidemic we see today. What made us do something so foolish? It was a fake scare campaign about cholesterol and diet. We were led to believe that only a change of diet could cure the cholesterol crisis that had just been noticed. What better, more comprehensive change to our diet than a complete reversal?
So millions of people changed from eating mostly proteins food to eating mostly carbs food. This new diet even got a name, ‘The Pyramid Diet’. What was the crisis that caused the change? There wasn’t one. Just a botch up with cholesterol test results. Unfortunately it took thirty years for that botch up to be corrected. Long enough to cause a mass food addiction that has produced an obesity epidemic. This now threatens a type2 diabetes epidemic. Already we can boast a greater percentage of people with heart disease, bowel and colon cancer than we had thirty years ago.
Yet, this human made disaster continues to roll on. We still follow ‘experts’ with no knowledge about what our body does with the food we eat. Our kids still get fed school lunches made up of dangerous, addictive carbs food. The ‘diet experts’ and gurus, are still drumming up business for their low carbs food diets. If your friend has an alcohol addiction, do you advice they reduce their drinking? Or do you advice them to give it up?
What you need is to focus your diet on proteins food. That means meat, poultry, fish, seafood, eggs and in addition, a small amount of carbs foo0d like avocado, nuts, berries green leaves and vegetables. Avoid all processed foods. If the food comes from a factory or processing plant it is not food your body has evolved to process.
To learn more about this manipulated scare campaign. How it began and who started it. You’ll find the details at the link below.

You have a mistaken concept about the right food for your body. Calories are irrelevant if you eat the food your body understands. There is no high or low carbs food. What some people refer to as low carbs food are the carbs that the human body has learned to process for generations. As to oils. All oils are fats and they are an essential part of a healthy diet. What you need to avoid are the foods that create bodyfat. Bodyfat is the fat that sticks to your ribs, clogs your arteries and settles around your vital organs. That type of fat can only be made by your own body and it can only be made from carbohydrates. In other words, excess carbs food = excess fat.
What is excess carbs food? Your body turns all carbs food into glucose. Glucose is liquid sugar and it is the the fuel your body burns when you use your energy. If you don’t have much energy you won’t burn much fuel. Since our body can’t store glucose it is forced to turn it into bodyfat.

They have been led to believe that only carbs food can give them energy. In fact, the only thing any carbs food can do is to provide you with fuel to burn when you need to spend energy. It is proteins food that builds and mends our bones, muscles, tissue organs and skin. If you are short of energy, proteins food can even convert to glucose if necessary. In other words, our athletes should follow the example of ancient athletes like the Greeks, and stick to lots of meat, fish and seafood.
Charles asks…

The expression: non-carbohydrate food is ridicules. If the food is non- eg without carbohydrates, then it must be something else. It is frightening to realize that the word Protein, has become so dangerous to the diet industry that they have finally succeeded in making the word superfluous. So here is my answer. If you want something other than carbs food, (and that would be a good thing) , then eat some proteins food. That means meat, poultry, eggs, fish, seafood and make that the main part of your meal. That’s what your grandparents did as a matter of course.
Hope this helps!
