William asks…
What would be the best diet to prevent type2 diabetes ?
I currently am writing an article about diabetes. I have been searching and reading many evidence-based articles. However, I’d like to hear your own opinion on type2 diabetes .

admin answers:
The only way to prevent type2 diabetes is to understand it. It is important that we do not confuse type2 diabetes with the type A version, which has always been with us. With type A diabetes, heredity, plays a big role. It has always only affected around 10% of the population. Type2 diabetes on the other hand threatens to become an epidemic. It is very much a late comer and is entirely diet related. Personally, I don’t know of anyone who had ever heard of type2 diabetes forty years ago.
That is about the time people were encouraged to change our old traditional diet. They were told there was a new modern diet that would not only promote better health, it would solve a highly publicized problem with cholesterol and diet issues. At the time, a huge number of people were affected. A scare campaign was in full swing and a diet for high cholesterol was welcomed. Much later it proved only the method of testing was wrong.
People naturally assumed this new diet had the backing of science and that all these claims had been verified by trials and lab tests.
Not only had the diet never been tested, it was a fake diet in the sense that it was simply an opposite version of our traditional diet. The people who created it had no science or medical knowledge. They simply wanted to produce a new diet that was different and therefore interesting enough for people to try. The easiest way to do that was to flip the old diet upside down.
The new diet was usually depicted as a pyramid. Nobody thought to turn it upside down but if they had, they might have notice they were seeing a break down of the old traditional diet.
The thing to remember here is that forty years ago, weight problems were rare and dieting even rarer.
Type2 diabetes can be traced right back to the change in our diet. So what was that change? Our internal system was developed to process a diet of mostly protein. Over the centuries we learned to adapt to a variety of natural carbohydrates. This never included manufactured and processed carbs food. The modern new diet contained mostly carbohydrates.
For the past forty years we have seen a continuous growth in food products produced in a factory. Whatever the label might say, Protein is not something you add to carbs food. Proteins food and carbs food can be on the same plate. But unless you use stuffing in your meat, you won’t find the two combined.
So here is a recipe for preventing type2 diabetes. First let us assume you are not a carbohydrate addict. If you are, you must cure your addiction before you do anything else. Carbohydrate addiction spikes our already massive obesity statistics. It also leads to type2 diabetes.
If you are not a carbohydrate addict, simply maintain a low carb food diet. Do not include carbs food that is boxed, packaged or wrapped. Eat only naturally grown carbs food. There is no shortage of those. If you do that, it is highly unlikely that you will ever have to worry about type2 diabetes.

Betty asks…
How does type2 diabetes, pancreatitus, and high tryglycerides tie together?
I have type 2 diabetes, and severely high tryglycerides, and chronic pancreatitus. I have already had to have a portion of my pancreas removed. I just want to know how it all ties together, and what exactly do tryglycerides do?

admin answers:
They’re all tied together by an over consumption of carbs food which turns to tryglycerides, which clogs up your cells and increases your insulin resistance which then overworks your pancreas as well as starving it from vital nutrients.
Once you choose only low carb food based on the low glycemic index and you include some basic daily exercise, like walking. Things should begin to level out.

What are some symptoms of type2 Diabetes?
What are some things that can happen to you when you have type2 diabetes ?

admin answers:
Some people have no symptoms whatsoever. Others can be thirsty, pee a lot, tired, etc.
If you have uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, you can go blind, kidney failure, amputations, heart attack, stroke, are among the most common problems.
When in doubt, see your doctor for blood tests.
Note: there is NO CURE for diabetes. There are only treatments.
Once diagnosed with diabetes, you may have trouble getting health insurance coverage and life insurance. You may also be disqualified from some jobs like airline pilot and interstate truck driver.

Does anyone know some good vegetarian guidelines for people with type2 diabetes?
I just found out that I have type2 diabetes . I know I have to stay away from jams, jellies, etc. What are the best proteins food items I can eat to help me stay healthy? Any other vegetarian/diabetes info would be helpful. I want to try to go veggie for this!

Here’s some info:

Proteins food includes all meat, poultry, eggs, fish and seafood. There are no limits to how many of those foods you can eat. Your body will automatically curb your appetite whenever you eat them.
Type2 diabetes, which is an entirely diet related disease, is acquired from eating too much carbs food, particularly processed carbs food. Vegetarian food is carbs food. Although it is usually the kind of carbs food that is natural and considered acceptable for your body, it is still another extreme diet.
Your body works best with the diet that nature expected us to eat. I is the only diet that is compatible with our digestive system. That would be our old traditional diet. It was made up of no more than 20% of naturally grown carbs food. The rest was mostly proteins food with a reasonable amount of fat. Before we changed our diet from mostly proteins food, to mostly carbs food, type2 diabetes did not exist.
